About Gabe
I was born in Laconia, New Hampshire in January of 1980 to Robert and Carol Clogston. I grew up in nearby Tilton, New Hampshire the youngest of three boys, and I had a great childhood. At the age of 13 my family packed up everything and moved to Sebring, Florida. I went to high school at local Sebring High and attended the local community college while struggling to find my way in the job market. I like to think of myself as an artist, but living in a small town there are not very many jobs for an artist, so I found myself working in many dead-end jobs until I was finally able to work my way into a job as an artist at the local newspaper. From there I was able to begin drawing editorial cartoons for publication which I am still doing now three years later. I am a diehard Red Sox fan, my hobbies include drawing, movies, video games, and reading. I enjoy a good whiskey, but I rarely drink.
As an artist I am heavily influenced by comic books and animation, but unlike many of my peers not much anime or manga. I credit Mike Wieringo, Jim Mahfood, Bruce Timm, Walt Disney, Jack Kirby, and Steve Silver, for the formation of my signature artistic style. I am also a graphic designer and have done many logo designs for various companies.
I think I am a good man. I try hard to live a life that not only I can be proud of, but a life that will leave an imprint on the people I meet. I can see myself as a father, and hope that is a role I will one day be lucky enough to enjoy. I think my greatest assets are my sense of humor, and my ability to stay clam and rational even in the most trying times.
A note about Gabe by Karen ---------
Gabe has this ability to never give up an argument, which means he usually wins it - sometimes by default because the other person has given up - but I am sure he would argue that too. But it is one of his most brilliant qualities because it says so much about him: that he is not a quitter, that he is reasonable and rational as well as passionate and firey, that he takes issues seriously and he can make you think.
When I fell in love with Gabe, it was like my life slid into place. Not to say that there aren't any more ups and downs, but my life definitely has a purpose and direction to it now. With him I have a partner for life, someone who will always take up a fight for me and the life we have together. He is the most solid man I know and I am his biggest cheerleader.
